On the one hand, you could see where an NFL player would be confused by the fact that professional football, a sport with just 16 games in a regular season, still allows ties to occur. On the other hand, well, you should know the rules of your sport, or, at the very least, should be informed of them during the game. How are coaches not making sure their players know that ties do exist? It seems like an important thing to remind them — not knowing could easily cost a team a game. (Say, for example, a wide receiver catches a ball at the end of overtime and doesn’t go out of bounds to stop the clock because he thinks another quarter is about to start.) Anyway, here are the latest players to not know the NFL’s rule book.
