Larry Fitzgerald: ‘I Don’t Know Why Coach Should Be Apologizing. It’s The Players That Were Out There’

by

Remember when the Cardinals beat the Patriots in New Englad earlier in the season? And remember when The Cardinals were 4-0? Yeah, we don’t really remember those things either. Anyway, it seems like after “leading” his team to a 58-0 loss to the Seahawks, Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt is on thin ice/the hot seat/whatever metaphor and cliche you like. No matter how much his players stand up for him. Also, did anyone know that Jim Gray had a radio show? From NFL.com:

“I don’t know why coach should be apologizing,” Fitzgerald told Jim Gray Monday on Dial Global Radio Networks. “It’s the players that were out there, put that up there. Last I remember he didn’t throw any passes or catch any balls or make any tackles. Us as players should be apologizing for that performance. It was disgraceful.” Cardinals president Michael Bidwill said on Monday that the team will not fire its coach before end of the season.
